What is Mrs. Pariser reading now?

With summer quickly approaching, I couldn't wait for the school year to end to get started on my summer fun picks! This is a captivating fantasy set in a traveling magical circus. It is a breaktaking spectacle, open only at night—one that renders all of its visitors awestruck and speechless. Behind the scenes, two young magicians are engaged in a battle of skill that their mentors have trained them for their entire lives. They don't fully understand the stakes, and cannot escape the (sometimes dark) consequences that arise as a result of their game. This book is the kind that you can get totally lost in. I turned page after page holding my breath at both how beautifully it is written, and at the magical surprises that await around every corner. With a more serious and mystical feel than Harry Potter, it's a story that contains a tremendously creative setting, passionate romance, and an interesting non-linear narrative perspective. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a different kind of escape while they're stuck at home!
